Concept Mapping & Mind Mapping

Felt sorry for my student who failed their qualifying physics paper......have tried my best to help you guys in term of marking.....I know that some of them cursed my paper especially the paper 2 that it was hard & tough but it should be a good sign for them whether they had done enough revision or really ready for my paper.....maybe their techniques of revision is not suitable where I can saw it in the morning of the exam.....hopefully all of them will prepared themselves more seriously in October....
This afternoon missed my Futsal game as I'd attend another sharing session....3 days in a week!!!!!! ha5 this sharing session is in conjunction with the Mind Mapping activity for MA5 in preparing them for the 'O' level....so by tonight should prepare of concept map for one of the topic in physics for my student to do this Saturday.....I also planed to do the diagnostic assessment to some of them by next week...

Workshop

For the last two days I attended the SPN 21 Diagnostic Assessment for Mathematics Workshop in ITB...at first I was surprised as it was supposedly intended for teachers teaching the new scheme while I was totally unfamiliar to it as I was teaching the PMB Maths and Physics 'O' Level....but then sitting there & getting involve with the activity being design I was thrilled & excited he2......there is so much things I learn't here that can be applicate in my teaching but sadly for Maths I'd completed my syllabus ha5......

Brainstorming in 1st Day........

I grouped myself with all the Tutong District Secondary Teachers...and the fun bit is that all of them talked in Tutong dialect while I was a "nodding donkey" ha5......even two of them talk to me in their dialect that I only reply by using my Brunei dialect he2.....how unpity of me that I didn't learn the dialect since my dad is one the user......

Receiving a Koala Bear for participating in discussion...

Our facilitator Melitta try to encourage us to be more active during the workshop that she will gave each one of us a Koala Bear she brought from Australia in recognition for the participation.... during the workshop most of us agreed the usefulness of using 'open task' question & I was really interested in using the PPELEM (or PPELEP in physics term) for my teaching....I was planning to try out the open task question tomorrow for my Maths class while the PPELEP for my physics class.....a kind of a surprise to them for disappearing from the school for two days ha5......hopefully I can diagnose them he2.....

High Tea

This afternoon, our science staff attend the High-Tea @ Rizqun Gadong Mall....this is my first attending such social gathering after joining the dept for the last 2 years though I'd attended the one held by our maths dept.....apart from eating, some discussion was also held especially on the Mock Exam result, the latest June 'O' Level result not forgetting last night Premier League game analysis..........hopefully this activities will be continued to be held in the future.....and still waiting for the Maths Dept high-tea he2.....

Accelerated Learning

Our MA5 attend an interesting & fun workshop called the 'Accelerated Learning' today and I was appointed as one of the facilitator for it....he2 giving paper & stars to the 'Pintar' group that I took charge of..... one of the activity is that all of them were asked to draw their own face by using their opposite handwriting hand ha5....most of them became left handed including my MA 5Sc student....

This afternoon two of our Robotech team went for the annual Robotech Competition held at SM Berakas...unfortunately my gladiator team cannot compete this year due to difficulty in buying the part & giving opportunity for them to prepare for their Mock Exam....hopefully the student involve this year learnt something about electronics and have fun with it he2......Thanks to Cg Alimin & Cg Hjh Noormuliyati for helping me he2 atleast its given me extra breathing space this year ha5.....

Practical Exam

My MA 5Sc student sat for their Mock Exam Practical Paper today...ehmmm everyone had shown their full concentration in this paper without any smile except when Habibah was making an uncharacterized sound that everyone wonder what food she ate during the break time ha5....

Before going for the football match in the evening spent my time marking all their paper...ehmmm not bad but still some 'kick' is needed especially for question no 4.....hopefully they won't repeat the same mistake in their GCE Nov Exam AMIN....

Counseling Talk

Yesterday, SMSO teachers attend the Counseling Talk given by an official from MOE....ehmmm some of the presentation is quite useful for those who never sat for the Psychology subject in UBD..I hated psychology during those days ha3.....

Just sitting & wondering when the talk will end.....

After that talk, had to rushed my self for Kroniz game....missed last week games and had to play full time during that match.....due to 'Nisfu Syaaban' some of our player was MIA and some had to went home early that only 9 of us left to play against the BSP Friends team...at the end we lost 6-2...

PMB VIP Days

Our school held the PMB VIP days this afternoon at the school foyer....this annual school project gave the parents and teacher the opportunity to discuss the academic achievement of their son or daughter especially for the coming PMB examination.....

this is my sitting allocation only one table & one magic book that contain everything the parents should know about their kids he2... luckily I was only teaching one PMB class this year and only 16 out of 19 of the parents turn up...so the rest of the afternoon was spent only on eating and drinking ha5.....

Post Mortem

This afternoon attend the postmortem session for the Science Day Exhibition....all the feedback was given by the secretary whom highlighted the budget allocation especially drinks for the student in-charge of the exhibition....felt sorry for the student that during that day they had to use their own money to buy food and drinks after exhausting their energy in entertaining the visitors.... One good suggestion was given that all the student will be handed-out a certificate of appreciation for their involvement in the exhibition... I think it is not to late for me to congratulate all of them especially our MA 5Sc student whom had done a tremendous job in making sure the event a success......
Today my student sat for their Physics Paper 1..ehmmmm.....honestly I felt sorry for them that almost all of them had to spent until the last minute to find the answer he2.....well guys hopefully all of you had a lesson to learn that IT IS NOT OVER TILL IT OVER ha5.......after the invigilation spent my time marking that paper for 20 minutes only....A new record for me in marking an exam paper ha5......Alhmadullillah nearly all of them passed that paper but it still not enough for some of them to pass the subject....hopefully their paper 3 will help some of the mark...AMIN....
Finally late this afternoon went to Tutong Sport Complex for the Inter-Dept Football Tourny where our team played against JPI....I'm so disappointed with the lost by a single goal that I blew one golden chances to score a goal....like what my friend always said 'Tak KesamPAIan' ha5.....with this lost our chances of getting to the final is still uncertain....

Physics Paper 2

My 5Sc sat for their Physics Paper 2 today....Everyone keep asking me to give some hint for the paper ha5....a little misunderstanding during the start of the exam that in Section A there is an option question.....he2 that is a little present from me to them ha5.....
